Queer Paint Night

QUEERS, you are invited to an evening of watercolor painting, creativity, and queer community.

Facilitated by Rebekah Rose and Nico Ruta

We will be gathering at Wood Coffee Co, a queer owned, plant based coffee shop in Long Beach, CA. Wood Coffee Co will be providing us with hot tea to keep us nourished for the evening.

No painting experience needed and open to all levels. If you have a desire to create, then you are an artist!

We will be providing a mini class guiding you through the basics of watercolor painting. Then you will be given space to practice and let your creativity flow.

All painting materials will be provided.

This event is created by queers, for queers. We look forward to growing creative community with you.

About Your Facilitators:

Rebekah Rose (they/she) is a trauma-informed yoga teacher, illustrator and muralist living in Long Beach, CA. They work to destigmatize issues related to mental health, consent, social justice, queerness with a sense of humor and play. Their biggest priority as a teacher is to create a space in which people feel safe enough to be their honest selves in any given moment.

Nico Ruta (they/she) is an artist, photographer, shapeshifter, community organizer, and urban farmer based in Long Beach, CA. They are inspired by the earth, sunlight, flowers, colors, and relationships. Nico co-creates sanctuary spaces of possibilities for queer and trans folks to co-create the world we want to see and expand our joy.
